Production area: North of Bari – Contrada Schinosa – Trani, at an altitude of 70 meters.
Grapes: 100% Primitivo
Vineyards: 3,5 Hectares of Primitivo grown espalier, vines are trained using the spurred cordon method on rich, clay soil that tends to be calcareous.
Wine making: The grapes are harvested between the last week of August and mid September. Maceration lasts for 8-10 days with frequent pump-overs and fermentation at constant temperatures.
Ageing: After a few months in steel tanks, the wine matures in Slovenian Rovere oak barrels. Successive refinement after bottling for 3 months before release.

Tasting notes: Intense red colour with violet reflexes. The bouquet hints of blackberry with spicy nuances. On the palate the wine is harmonic with a rich and well structured body.
Recommended with: The perfect wine to accompany rich and flavoursome dishes such as red meat, game and aged cheeses. Best opened at least one hour before serving.
Serve at 18°C.
