Production area: North of Bari – Contrada Schinosa – Trani, at an altitude of 70 meters.
Grapes: 100% Aglianico
Vineyards: 5 Hectares of Aglianico grapes located on rich, clay soil that tends to be calcareous, vines are trained using the spurred cordon method with a density of 4,500 plants per hectare.
Wine making: The harvest takes place in the first half of October.10-12 days of maceration ensures maximum extraction of aroma and colour with frequent pump-overs which oxygenates the must and softens the tannins. Fermentation takes place at a constant temperature.
Ageing: Ageing takes place in Slavonian Rovere oak barrels of 35 Hl where the wine develops its characteristics. Successive ageing of the wine for further 6 months in bottles before the wine is released.
